yes it is light, but difficult to see through when the sun is reflecting off of it....Its basically a light mirror Platinum

UFGator12 06-04-2006 06:13 PM

Other way around for me. I love limo tint, not colored. Colored looks ricer to me. Yours looks alright, but still would have gone with black.

Seeing that last post... you can't even tell it's tinted. You can see right in it.

Lookin good. But yeah I agree should've gone darker but hey man it's your car, do what you want. I just think black looks uber sexy with darker tint. :ylsuper:

Not really. I mean it is harder to see out of at night don't get me wrong. But, you get used to it and it's not hard enough to see out of at night to the point of not getting it just because of that one issue. I have 20% which is not super dark and I can still see out at night, but, you just have to get used to it. But, like tiggerlee said, it is your car and you do with it what you wish.

tiggerlee 06-04-2006 06:39 PM

^yep pretty much what zoom said. You get use to it eventually. I've got 15% all around and the only time I wish I didn't have it so dark is when I'm backing out of a tight space at night in a dim lit area, but that's usually rare. So far haven't had any incidents though.

lesper4 06-04-2006 06:58 PM

yeah it is tinted lightly but it is definilty looking better then no tint.

NgoRX8 06-04-2006 08:56 PM

damn, that's light

dmc27 06-06-2006 09:44 AM

Love the sides! It is a helluva ride. I prefer the dark tint though, IMO, it really evens off the lines. 15% around my BB, and the only difference it makes is eliminating the need to flip the rearview mirror at night to reduce the lights behind me.

L8APEX 06-06-2006 10:35 AM

i think all cars look better with tint, and the darker is usually better IMO. But you don't want to go too dark and get the attention of the police, nothing like a fix it ticket to ruin your cars looks. I went with 20% on the front windows, and 15% on the rest. It is a little darker at night, but not bad. More importantly, it is not nearly as hot inside the car in the summer, and we just finished up some really warm days here in GA.

good point, with his aggresive body kit, and graphics on the side, some wheels would complete the package. Looks like it could stand to be lowered a little too.

What kind of rims should i get? Ive been trying to find some nice rims with a unique look. Big lip preferrably...

preciate the comments

that is a dangerous question, both camps will come out of the woodwork on that one, to stagger or not to stagger, that is the question. It is hard to find wheels that look right on this car IMO, the body has so many nice lines, that the wrong wheel choice will throw off the whole look, there are plenty of examples of around here. Choice wisely. And get out the checkbook, the nice ones ain't cheap. That is why I dont have any.

Very clean looking car, looks nice and shiny.

I tinted my BB and went with Limo in the back, 15% up front:

Oh, and very creative use of the fog lights... :)

wndotinter 06-06-2006 02:24 PM

i like how everyone calls their car their 'BB' lol. nothing drives me nuts more than a customer coming in calling their car their baby and wanting illegal tint. haha

Jedi54 06-06-2006 02:28 PM

BB = Brilliant Black.

wndotinter: I'm confused...

dmc27 06-06-2006 02:41 PM

Now, were one of us to refer to the 8 as BBBB, feel free to sent an e-beatdown.

artx8 06-06-2006 03:57 PM

thanks Jedi, someone noticed

I haven't had trouble with cops here in GA with 20%. Had cops look right at me through the tint and they haven't done anything.
