If you want an aggressive stance that will elminate the wheel gap, get the Tein S-Techs. They have a 1.4" drop in the front and a .7" drop in the rear. If you want more of an even drop, go with Eibach, they will give you a 1.2" drop all around.

WVBoosted8 06-19-2008 08:39 PM

Yeah im looking for the same thing you are as soon as I get my wheels/ms kit. I like the stance the s-techs give the car.

04wb8 06-19-2008 08:39 PM

thanks i was also looking at tanabe gf but i think that might be a little too low

X Rx8 06-19-2008 08:42 PM

I'd go with Tein S-Techs.

WVBoosted8 06-19-2008 08:47 PM

Either that or the tanabe NF210 since they dont change the springrate that much

04wb8 06-19-2008 08:52 PM

yeah those were my first choice then i was thinking maybe id want to go a little bit lower in the rear

Razz1 06-19-2008 11:39 PM

Where's the strakes?

04wb8 06-19-2008 11:44 PM

why get strakes?

WVBoosted8 06-19-2008 11:44 PM

I just bought some s-techs for 180 shipped. Seems like the best deal I could find.

04wb8 06-19-2008 11:46 PM

whered you order those from?

briann 06-20-2008 12:57 AM

Kinda off topic, but howd you mount your front plate?
Did you just drill through the bumper?

PM Lazi for springs, he can get you an awesome deal. better than $180 too probably.

04wb8 06-20-2008 02:12 AM

he actually qouted me for 184.90 for tanabe gf shipped

ca18detsilvia 06-20-2008 09:45 AM

I have the tein s-techs on the stock shocks and I am very happy with them. I love the drop it gives the car a little more of a rake. I think the Eibachs drop the rear too much. When my buddies car is beside mine, the Eibachs lmake the front end too high in my opinion.

SideOfBacon 06-20-2008 09:58 AM

Eibachs

dozer 06-20-2008 10:34 AM

I asked em before I purchased and he quoted 218 shipped. Id love to support the rx8 community by buying them from him but thats 38$ i could throw into something else :/

dozer 06-20-2008 11:19 AM

04wb8 06-20-2008 11:24 AM

i myself just prefer the even drop across the car, versus the front being lower than the rear. everyone has their own preference though.

04wb8 06-20-2008 02:20 PM

yeah im actaully still undecided now that i think a bout it

04wb8 06-20-2008 02:24 PM

i think ill just by new rims and tires and call it a day

ODDDOOD 06-20-2008 02:52 PM

I love my Tanabe GF 210s. Lowered the car nicely...it is low, but easily clear all normal stuff on the road. Quick elevation changes (i.e. steep driveways to a roadway) are not good so if that is a problem, you should be ready to adjust something.

The install is actually really fun too. I had a blast and feel like I understand our suspension (and suspension as a whole) much better.

1 jack
2 jack stands
2 spring compressors (Autozone=free rental)
Socket Set
Wrench Set (metric of course)

The DIY here is awesome...
DIY for many things

Have fun...I'll try to remember to post pictures this weekend to give you a looksee

04wb8 06-20-2008 04:13 PM

okay yeh thatd be nice if you took some pics.
he got them from ebay the seller has no more in stock.

chickenwafer 06-20-2008 04:33 PM

If you want to eliminate wheel gap get Sprint springs. They drop roughly 2". I have the MS bumper and sides and let me tell it's low, so be prepared to scrape.

04wb8 06-20-2008 06:51 PM

thats the thing i dont really wanna scrape its my daily driver.

WVBoosted8 06-21-2008 12:11 AM

Yeah, I found them on ebay. Theres another seller selling them for the same price but he seems to have a problem getting them to his bidders :/

CnnmnSchnpps 06-21-2008 09:27 PM

04wb8 06-21-2008 09:48 PM
