Rotary-RX8 04-14-2011 08:49 PM

paimon.soror 04-14-2011 08:50 PM

Neighbors probably LOOOOVEEEED that lololol

EV3R15 04-14-2011 08:52 PM

Do you only have on exhaust? i dont see any smoke on ther other side

laythor 04-14-2011 10:54 PM

lol.. you might want to read up about not revving it hard after using seafoam. No lubrication + high revs = bad things happening

I was thinking the same thing, there was a vid on dsmtuners or was it talk? cant remember, dude was hitting the rev limiter and bam, and well rod in drive way, the rest you figure it out lol..

I'm thinking of having Mazda do theres on mine once i get it inspected (finaly got a plate on mine) local dealer has a specail, oil change, chassis, cabin filter, air filter and there service for carbon sludge cleaning for $155

laythor 04-15-2011 12:15 AM

instruction on how to correctly use it are here: https://www.rx8club.com/ne-rx-8-forum-29/mazda-zoom-engine-cleaner-instructions-142898/

L337fpc 04-15-2011 04:58 AM

I pull seafoam through the maintenance ports and let it sit for 30-60 min. Then i pull 2 cycle oil through to coat the rotor housings. Typically im doing other things while the seafoam is sitting within my engine, oil change, etc. Then when ever i'm done, pull 2 cycle through about 5 seconds of cranking as it pours in. Reconnect the ESS and put the AC on recirculate, lol.

8 Maniac 04-15-2011 05:42 AM

I know I wouldn't be revving like that after a cold start...

Still amusing to see the fog machine effect. Especially when it's done with 2 cars...

L337fpc 04-15-2011 06:10 AM

it wasn't cold at all, engine temp was 160f when she fired up. My idle temp is ~170f.

a neighbor asked me if i could change the color of the smog, lol

RX8SHNKVI 04-15-2011 07:35 AM

Different color smog???..... Very ingenious!.... Could it be done?

Rotary-RX8 04-15-2011 09:04 AM

Do you actually feel a difference in how the car reponds after the carbon clean up :dunno:

Yes, i normally seafoam every other oil change. Or before a track event.

lepichichi 04-15-2011 10:57 AM

getting ready for tomorrow I see ;)

9krpmrx8 04-15-2011 11:13 AM

I did this (well zoom zoom) recently on my car and grungepup did his and neither of us got hardly any smoke at all. Just a little bit on start up.

reminds me of when I did this to my WB last year...

L337fpc 04-15-2011 11:31 AM

Yea yesterday had a constant breeze so the smog didn't accumulate. The first time I did it, I covered my neighborhood...it was retarded.

laythor 04-15-2011 12:09 PM

ahhh, didnt know you were doing it so often. Makes sense now. Nothing like a good seafoaming to wake up the crowd.

Call 911! Car on fire!

MS Addict 04-17-2011 03:24 PM

^I did that once before, and people actually were convinced there was a fire. There had been a fire the week prior, and there was so much you couldn't see my car, which was utterly ridiculous(It was also a white car, anyway).

Yeah, 911 was almost called, haha.

But that pic cornholio, is just intense.

Beodude 04-17-2011 09:43 PM

Let's see if that works... Did my own little Seafoaming. Carp. Lemme try something else...

L337fpc 04-17-2011 09:44 PM

fixed it for you

Oh, thanks! How did you do it?

L337fpc 04-17-2011 09:46 PM

just paste the URL for the youtube video and post your reply

Beodude 04-17-2011 09:49 PM

LoL I love the dual RX-8 Seafoaming... Awesome!
