I like the look of that engine!

However, can you call a C3 a Stingray? Aren't they C2s?

It is; we are going tobe doing the outside of the car; and we are cleaning the inside as much as we can - but as of now there is no room or money to pull the motor and redo the whole bay. However; once we get everything else restored and working right; we plan to pluck it and bebuild the bottom end too (shortblock); so we might do it then.

Rust is not an issue (suprisingly) just grime.

My son has my old one with less than 40K miles on it. The car has 120K I think. The only thing you really have to worry about with Supra's are head gaskets blowing.
ever heard of "blown head gasket"?

I know I know, rotaries don't have them

surprisingly, 7m engines love to blow their head gaskets

and ever seen "oil in sparkplug wells?" that too

I go to the supra forums, but they are not like you guys and dont really like rx8s or 7s very much either.

and I read your post and just found the head gasket part

and I won't re-edit my post cus I'm lazy like that

besides, I already have an REW in my house anyways, so might as well no?

/end thread jack

Kane! how's the build going!!!

I really wanted to do an LS1 as well; but $$$ wasn't there; espeically when you add in the ECU et-al needed. So this one is more of a budget build and less of a drag monster.... but still 400+ Hp in a street car isn't so bad!
Kane, ever heard of LT4s? I think that is your best bet for an engine swap man, put a supercharger on there and you're set

Baddass. That thing is going to be beastly. I still can't comprehend how long that hood opening is.

You mean what we have to cut or the total?

But the length of the car does kinda dwarf the 350 huh... crazy. But it all sits behind the front wheels - so +1 for handling.
