Do what I did; I filled out the application but I listed my friend’s U.S address. I sent him an email asking him to forward it to me when it arrived. It worked great for me! :p

I've got the CD; came from the Detroit Auto Show. Its nothing special, other than its shaped like a rotor (kinda cool). No new info on it.
I'd be willing to let it go for $800. :D

I agree with Grimace regarding the quality of the CD. There is absolutely nothing new as far as information goes.

The best part is when it starts up and you can hear the sound of the 787B rotary. The 787B is still the only Japanese car that ever won the 24-hour Le Mans race.

The thing about the CD, and why I want to get it while they are giving it away, is as a collector's item down the road. No, it's not a money thing. When I buy a new car, I keep the sticker price, and I snag all versions of the brochures, promotional video tapes and CDs, etc. for that year of vehicle, and store it in a box somewhere. This time, I also expect to copy any commercials onto a video tape or DVD-R and put that in the box too.

It makes for a pretty cool bunch of keepsakes that will go with the car, it takes very little effort, and it would add to the car's value if it ever became a collector's item down the line. Think about how special having those items with a '90 Miata would be. Is it worth some money? Not really, but it's worth the minor effort, anyway.

Fly? Unless I can do barrel loops and forward and reverse 180s in the air :P....

I'll keep 4 wheels on the ground.......... Most of the time

fuz 09-25-2002 03:03 AM

I wonder, if cars do fly, will some ricer put a phat wing on it? :D

wakeech 09-25-2002 04:13 PM

AHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA!!! no, they'd probably get big duct flares to make the front of the jet engines look a lot bigger than they are (there by increasing frontal area and drag), or put big big big tail fins on it, with stickers coming out its ass... ;)

or maybe they'd even just cruise around on the ground, with big shiny rims on their tiny little landing gear wheels... :D

Heh. I don't look forward to a day where people are flying around like in movies such as "The Fifth Element" or "Attack of the Clones". Too many of the people on the road don't pay enough attention or are too distracted by what few gadgets are in the cars today to be safe drivers in the two dimensions that are marked off by obvious lane markers. Put these bozos in the open air with all of the junk they'll have, and I will be headin' for nearest bomb shelter to avoid all of the cars fallin' from the sky.
