if my car were to be an airplane...
I took about 10 shots today at a local airport...this is the only shot which looked decent.

Beauty!
I saw a silver that I almost went for, but brilliant black won me over. Very nice photo, very nice car! |
You take some damn nice pictures. Nice car too.
|
If you can only get that silver 8 up next to a vintage P-51 Mustang, now that would be a picture for the books

If I can find one, I'll go for it :) Thanks for the compliments, guys. :) |
was that a 170B or a 180? Cabin's too short to be a 185, and the shape of the cowling is making me think it's a 170.
|
Sure...lol..I have no idea...it was a pretty, shiny AirPlane, so I parked beside it.
:D |
That silver car is way too close to that silver plane.
People may say that our silver cars are cursed. But a plane that looked very much like that one crashed less than 15 feet from me once. no joke. |
id say the plane would win in a race...hahah

I doubt it - depends, I suppose...on the race conditions. In an autocross, I'd SMOKE it... :D except in a free-fall dive, I'd bet my car has a higher top (ground) speed, too! :D |
It's an ~1953 vintage Cessna 180. The 'square' tail eliminated it from being a 170A or 170B, and having only one window behind the door makes it an early generation of the 180. The details of the cowling, rivet lines, etc. confirmed it once I found some pics to compare it with.
Here's one for comparison. |
It happens to be for sale! :) Want me to go back and get a phone # for ya? :)

If I *did* win the lottery and decide to buy a light plane, it would be a Beechcraft (Bonanza or Baron, with the old 'throwover' style controls). |
That's an awesome picture...Really great lighting and wonderful angles.
|
Why thank you Zephyr. Really...I appreciate it.
