I live in Vancouver, Canada. I own a hobby shop and a while ago I decided to expand my shop to include some performance products for Mazda. My background is in road racing so I got the RX8 to make a show car for my shop and also to take to the track for fun. I decided to go with the 19 wheel just for show, and I got 18 Enkie RPF1 for the track. I also started to make the car lighter so I got the 11.5lb battery and got rid of the air condition, the stock seat, and the rear speakers. I put the single muffler and what a difference these changes made to the car! The car breaks way better and accelerate better. I lose a little bit of torque but for me the handling is more important than low-end power. Losing the weight of the muffler made a big difference.
Just in case anybody needs anything, since I'm a dealer for JIC, MCD (for wheels, turbo and exhaust), A Spec products (exhausts), APR wings, and braille racing battery, I can get a pretty good price on a lot of stuff. This is the exhuast on my car, A Spec ASP-MU101AB. Their website is www.aspecproducts.com. And I can get it for $105, including shipping. Braille 11.5 carbon fibre racing battery, B14115C. www.brailleauto.com. My price is $220, including shipping. I put Volk TE 37 wheels, 19 x 8.5 front, 19 x 9.5 rear. $2700 including shipping. I'm also thinking to sell my wheels on my car for $2300 including shipping. I got them just 1 month ago. Now I would like to try Volk CE28N to see how it will look. Thanks for all the responses. There will be a lot more stuff to be put on the car, so stay tuned. www.team1hobby.com Just in case anybody wants to email me, my email is: ray@team1hobbies.com |
your seats are badass!
Your car is pretty sweet. May I suggest clear corners though? That orange is distracting.
The car looks like it has a butthole. Hahaha. I love the way that car looks though. Don't care too much for the seats but those rims bring out the white a lot more. Good job
