Got the MS Kit
My 1st major mod, already have the lowering springs from Mazda, gives it a nice drop without hindering comfort. Next up are the wheels.....

Looks great! How much did it cost you total? You plannin on rims??
|
nice
|
It cost a lot and I dare not say :Eyecrazy: Actually when you consider it's OEM quality and not fiberglass and the fact that it's painted and fitted it's not a bad price, but then again $6K is still a fortune :puke:
Wheels will come when I can afford them  The car is only 2 weeks old! |
congrats! its a very nice kit and i like the pics
|
I am def considering this kit BUT i'm on tein s-tech lowering springs, any chance you could give me a couple measurements?? Mainly the front ground clearance and the distance from the side markers to the bottom of the bumper (vertical)
|
looks good...i like the MS emblem on the side skirts...

I'll get a better pic at the w/e. |
I'm trying to figure out how this cost you $6,000. Please tell me, it wasn't $6,000 euros
MS Wing - $876 MS Rear under bumper - $732 MS Side Skirts - $720 MS Front Bumper - $1,290 MS Lowering Springs - $258 Total = $3876.00 Even if you added the MS exhaust ($540), that would still only be $4,416 (all prices were taken from trussville mazda) Are prices in Europe even more then here in the US?? What did a body shop charge you for install??? |
I was quoting USD, however I'm in the UK and the USD is not worth much at the moment against the pound (GBP) :p: Even so it is still more expensive here compared to the US I think, purely because there is only one Mazda dealer that I know of that supplies these in the UK....
Supplied painted (not fitted) Front bumper - £980 Sides Skirts - £551 Rear under bumper - 521 Rear wing - £711 Front fog light brackets - £55 Install was about £300! |
6000 british pounds = about 3,009.48 usd

Looks great. MS kit will be my first major mod.
|
wow that looks awesome, any idea if the accolade fenders would fit after u put that kit on? if it would flow nicely that would be an awesome addition to ur kit
|
Nice ride! Wheels next?
|
Freaking awesome kit! You make me feel like I got mine at a bargain, thanks.
|
lol... i think the next thing should be exhaust too.
|
awesome job
|
wow dude 6k for an ms body kit? I'd definately get the R-magic widebody instead of an ms kit lol. Especially since theres sales for that item at japanparts i think. But anyways....your car looks bad ass. BB is one of my fav colors.
|
looks great... the ec\xchange right now is almost 2 to 1... damn english lol
|
what i dont understand is howcome i see all US spec MS front bumpers at the center vent where u mount the number plate is always covered with a plastic bar, where the JDM spec is clean, no funny looking bar across the hole?
JDM (no funny bar in front) http://www.keiyo-parts.co.jp/rx8-f-nose2.jpg US (funny bar) http://www.shaneracing.com/RX8_Front_MZDSP_Bumper.jpg |
Looking good mate!
Love your color, BTW! :p: |
The plastic bar is part of the original kit, my kit was imported from Japan and it came with that bar for the number plate. I expect all the kits come like that, it's an individual choice as to whether you want to keep it on or off. I wanted to keep it off but the grill they supply is not tall enough without the bar.
At some point I will be taking it off and fabricating some V shaped mounts to install the numberplate so it's angeld to push air to the cooler. Here is photoshop of my car without the bar.... http://www.g4crx.com/RX_8.JPG |
That 8 is hot.
Had to say it again..... |
this is what the car was meant to look like, IMHO
