Now you just need to paint the exhaust shrouds back to black. Also, is that paint on the tires or tire-shine?

RX8SHNKVI 02-08-2011 04:21 PM

I didn't think about that..... ill look into it. Thanks for the suggestion.
It's tire shine.... I love the stripes u have on Ur fender.......(I might copy Ur idea ...and add little twist LOL)

Go for it. I get mixed opinions, but I like them. I used krylon satin black on my shrouds when I repainted them. Just FYI.

RX8SHNKVI 02-09-2011 07:34 AM

Cool! I'll try that... Thanks for the info!

adamwzl 02-12-2011 02:12 PM

looks nice man.

I see your color scheme with the stickers/lugs/calipers.

But since your murdering it out basically, you should remove the stickers. Get black lugs and paint the calipers black. To give it a more clean look.

But also bit of contrast is nice here n there.

looks great :bigok:

RX8SHNKVI 02-13-2011 07:55 AM

Hahaha I'm going for the "Blacked out with a hint of blue" look. All black looks sick but I at least want people to see me at night .... even if its just that blue sticker Hahahahahahah

Thanks for the compliment though

adamwzl 02-13-2011 08:04 PM

P.S: IF ANYONE KNOWS HOW TO UPLOAD PICTURES AND HAVE THEM SHOW ON THE PAGE AND NOT AS AN ATTACHMENT.....PLEASE TELL ME HOW.

i finally got H&R springs too on my 8,looks to sit the same height as yours

Do you think 19" rims would fit without rolling the fenders ?

im no very savvy when it comes to rims and fitment but i would think they will be a bit large. you may need to roll the fenders.

sorry i cant be more helpful:sad:

Awesome thank you RX8SHNKVI for all the help. I'll post pics when its done.. If it comes out anything like yours did, I'll be pretty pleased!

adamwzl 02-16-2011 11:44 AM

you can also use duplicolor wheel paint, which works pretty well.

also there is the choice of professional paint job or getting them powder coated.

RX8SHNKVI 02-17-2011 09:18 AM

I chose engine enamel cus the temp on the wheels will NOT go as high as the temp on the engine.... In my eyes thats better temperature protection :)

thanks for the compliment alex! It was my first time painting rims but i took my time so it paid off

if i could have i would have gone with powder coating, like adam mentioned thats an option (the best option i would say)
