Awesome! Keep them coming!

The RX8 is a great looking car, but every time I see it next to a FD I am blown away at how amazing that car is. The design is 10 years old and is still the best looking car to ever come out of Japan. Hopefully the next 7 will be able to come close to the FDs amazing looks.
|
The FD does have its own unique look. This is the first time I've seen an RX-8 parked next to an RX-7 and it's interesting to see how big the '8 is compared to the '7.

Originally posted by RX-Hachi I have kind of the opposite reaction. I am a former FDS3 RX-7 owner and agree it's one of the best looking cars ever. However, now seeing it next to the RX-8, the FD seems a bit dated. I think the RX-8 look just as good, but in a different more cutting edge kind of way. The FD is aging very nicely, but as soon as you put it next to the RX-8 you can tell right away which one is the newer design. |

Too bad you can't say the same for the Cosmo. It is very dated looking now. |

'big' is one way to put it... i think "bloated" is better. I wonder if RX-Hachi thinks the FD body is dated since he sees one everyday, since i hardly ever see one, i think the lines of FD are still awesome! has anyone ever seen the millenia and the 6 side by side?... i get the same feeling: the 6 is bloated, the millenia is lean and mean (well sorta). it will be quite interesting to see the the next rx-7 though... |
I was passed by an identical RX-7 (grey) recently and I was drooling. It was one of the best looking cars I'd ever seen and it just strolled past me. I didn't even suss what it was until I saw the rear Mazda badge. Beautiful! Unreliable and drinks like a fish of course...

You can definitely see the family resemblance in the lights and grille...
