I know it's not much, and only one picture... but it was such a welcome site on my trip. I had been gone for about 11 days at this point and was really missing America. This gave me a nice touch of home and brightened my day :P. This is in Assisi, Italy in front of the St. Francis Basilica. Hope you guys enjoy :).

always nice to see an rx8

NgoRX8 06-29-2007 01:05 AM

haha, in america, (CA specifically), you can find 1 or 2 rx-8s on the road a day during your drive.

getting more common here

Well in Europe gas mileage is king. You only buy a car like the rx8 if you really don't care about money that much. Doing all the conversions, gas over there is around 8-9 dollars a gallon. The rx8 was literally one of the nicest cars I saw the whole time there. Most all you see are tiny econo-boxes or motorcycles. I saw a few ferraris in Italy and a Maserati at a gas station. I am not exaggerating when I say the rx8 was literally the 3rd or 4th nicest car I saw the whole time there.

What you're saying basically is that the rx8 driver is well off financially because the majority of cars are seat, citroen, peugeot, fiat, etc.

Visirale 06-29-2007 10:27 AM

Well pretty much. Driving is a much more expensive hobby over there.

I'm a proud owner of a RX8 in Europe and it takes me about $90 to fill up my RX8.

NgoRX8 07-03-2007 02:00 AM

CoMBo8 07-03-2007 07:37 AM

I see maybe one or two a month around here (between milwaukee and chicago.) It's unfortunate europe doesn't have a canada to supply low cost oil.

StuttgartRX8,
How many miles do you typically drive in a week?
