Did a spirited run up HWY 1 in Northern MN

I miss the old Hwy 1 before they straightened it.

That's my kind of fun, but how can you stand that bearing noise, and the clunk, clunk, clunk of maybe front shocks or suspension.
|
I think the cluck was the mount I used. No noise till I played the vid. Not sure what bearing noise you are talking about. There is a buzz in the high end that I traced to the child seat latch on the rear deck. Tightened it and the buzz went away. Also, the road is NOT smooth. It's pretty rough in a lot of spots.

Hwy 1 was never smooth. Winter takes care of summer construction.

Despite being pretty rough, it's still one of the better roads in the state as far as the fun factor. There is also a really narrow and twisty section of 38 north of Grand Rapids. I did work on the section past that this year and MNDOT said the twisty section in the woods is getting redone next year. Should be a fun one to hit. |

It's somewhat normal, and if you don't hear it, it's probably not enough to be a problem. My Handkook V12's got hard at 6 years, made some clunking noise, too, and had to get them off for some softer new Michelin pss. I've been in habit of too much air pressure, but stay at 32 cold now to make softer. |
