Carbon fiber hood Gauge Pod

Many thought only RX-7 guys gets all the goodies. Remeber back then Border Japan had a twin hood gauge pod for RX-7. It was very poplular item for RX-7 and today still is. With that idea why not for RX-8 guys too. So here is how they look on RX-8. These are 52 MM pods.

nuke0907 05-16-2009 12:36 PM

can you post pics with a gauge in both spots from different angles?

fd3s777 05-16-2009 01:02 PM

waiting for my boost and water temp gauges to come in. Once installed I'll post more installed photos.

Looks great! If it were me it wouldn't be shiny... I can't stand the reflections on the windshield from shiny stuff on the dash.

Motomouse 05-16-2009 02:24 PM

I like it
how much it will cost ?? :)

rx8phase1 05-16-2009 02:32 PM

nice!

NgoRX8 05-16-2009 02:37 PM

looks pretty good. i think it would be even better if the gauges were faced toward the driver instead of being straight on.

TopGear8 05-16-2009 04:01 PM

Look its Mickey Mouse!

that's my only complaint...turn them each in a couple degrees...facing straight on on the outside would make it hard for the driver to see the gauge correctly. sweet idea though

Not sure if 60 MM can fit into this one. I will get a hold of 60 MM and try. Cuz I was going to get STRI 60MM.

Can have it in matted carbon finish or matted flat black.

nijinskymb 08-13-2009 05:14 PM

lepichichi 08-13-2009 05:17 PM

bose 08-13-2009 05:21 PM

Where do can I get my mitts on one of these things. This is exactly the kind of thing I have wanted for gauges.

chickenwafer 08-13-2009 08:05 PM

I like it. It would move my boost gauge off the a-pillar and let me add another gauge....

rodjonathan 08-13-2009 08:08 PM

i think it looks outa place woulda gone with the center console ashtray or a pillar instead to each his own though

NYC Drift King 08-13-2009 09:28 PM

9G Redline 08-13-2009 10:17 PM

It looks nice. +1 on angling it towards the driver and +1 on matte finish to match the stock dash. Price please?

fd3s777 08-16-2009 12:07 AM
