I've been debating about this color vs velocity red...and I'm gonna have to pick Stormy Blue...that color is freaking gorgeous! Its deep and looks bad assed in the sun... Decision made. SBM FTW!

Tell me about it. It was difficult to track one down locally to even go look at it in person just to make "extra sure" I liked the color. I've only seen one other Stormy Blue besides mine and that was 7-8 months ago.

Minor update on mine: I had the windows tinted yesterday (20%) and installed my clear corners this afternoon when they showed up from Vivid Racing. I was going to take a picture and throw it up here but it was raining like a bastard.

Friday/Saturday-ish I'm supposed to get the OEM spoiler installed but I'm not holding my breath.

Hey guys -

I hope you don't mind an invader from rx7club.com. I have my '85 GS stripped and ready for paint as soon as the weather clears so the body shop isn't so busy with collision work. I've been trying to decided on the shade of dark blue that I want to paint it, and I think I just found it. I think Stormy Blue Mica is hot!!

I MUST say it brings GREAT joy to be able to finally get to do this.

Been working really hard for 4 straight years to be in this position in my country (Jamaica) and am feeling really good about it so enough talking, on with the pics....

Looks good, Although i don't know how red calipers will look on a blue car. I think black or silver would look better.

Here's a photochop of Red caliper paint & clear corners. I'm planning on doing this to my stormy blue in the upcoming weeks (items already ordered). I can post real pics after I finish if you like.

I like the red the way it is in the pic, but maybe a slightly darker red?

I'm not sure how bright the red paint will look. I ordered the Red G2 caliper paint kit, but it's hard to tell just how the color will appear when finished. I'd prefer the color to match the red in the taillights, but if it doesn't a little driving will provide brake dust that will "darken" the calipers a little. If it turns out I don't like the look, I may get some of those RX-8 stencils from Polak and paint over the red with some black paint (but only if I don't like how things look).

I wouldn't expect pics from me until mid-March.

i'm sorry but it doesn't look anywhere near a Ferrari.. even the calipers are not remotely comparable.

just paint them silver or gunmetal gray and make them discreet.

I'm still trying to figure out why they put the gears in a straight line and changed the numbers to P,R,N & D

So it's all good.
