paimon.soror 01-18-2011 10:08 PM

^^ lolol thanks, figure it added a nice spin to the pic

tiltmode43 01-18-2011 11:13 PM

Get rid of those gauges, far too busy and clutter up your dash...

Please PM me so you know where to send them, when you do take them out :D

jasonrxeight 01-18-2011 11:49 PM

I just noticed your outside Temp is on the left side. mines on the right side.

It's because of the aftermarket radio. Once you install an aftermarket radio the clock disappears and the outside temp moves to the left.

RogueTadhg 01-19-2011 05:36 AM

Sir, I like and approve of the setup.

The Reverend 01-19-2011 09:32 AM

nice interior. man the newer generation pioneer double dins make my older one look like crap

2tone 01-19-2011 10:00 AM

looks sweet. are those guages off kilter a bit? or is it just the angle of the pics??

paimon.soror 01-19-2011 10:13 AM

The gauges are angled slightly so the 0* is facing the driver. No reason specifically other than i saw some people do that and it looked cool lol.

lepichichi 01-19-2011 10:42 AM

looks good

9kBeep 01-19-2011 10:50 AM

looks awesome man, must say im quite jealous. is there a reason the guage pod doesnt sit very flush with the rest of the dash though? and which radio mount is that one, assuming its the metra, but how do you like it personally; fitment, paint finish, install?

altspace 01-19-2011 11:18 AM

Two suggestions. Lower the ISO and use a tripod if you can, or something to steady the shots a bit more.

Yea the gauge pod is made for the Series 1 RX8's so I had to cut and customize it to fit the rest of my dash. I tried my best and although you get some overlap it doesn't look all too bad in person. As far as the radio mount, it is the S2 version of the metra kit, fitment and finish were perfect, and the install was quite easy.

Thanks for the tips sir. Tripod is def something on the list for me, low light pics are almost impossible without one as you can tell from the blurring around lighted objects. Any recommendations on a good sturdy inexpensive one?

altspace 01-19-2011 11:58 AM

Just be sure to get one with a quick release mount. One of the best features.

Hows that one look ... more on the $$$ side

ShinkaEvo 01-19-2011 12:20 PM

For indoor, tripod weight isn't an issue, but it you plan to shoot outdoor in the future get a heavy one.

paimon.soror 01-19-2011 12:25 PM

^^ Thanks for the tip. I assume that I will be taking some indoor and some outdoor, but nothing crazy or unattended so i dont think a heavy / expensive one is something i need atm. I will probably settle on this:
