Before/After

Got our car back tonight, we had a Veilside V1 body kit, A MS rear spoiler, window tint, Tein coil over spings to lower it, and a Greddy cat back exhaust installed....clear corners and driving lights, too!

Here is before:

time for rims

mysql101 06-06-2006 08:11 PM

looks really sharp, but the "side skirts" need to go. It looks like the front was installed wrong. Get the MS sideskirts for $700 and it will look even better.

BlueEyes 06-06-2006 08:13 PM

I like the before.

OneEvilRx8 06-06-2006 08:13 PM

i don't want to be a hater, but that kit looks fu*ing ugly...

sorry man!!!

NgoRX8 06-06-2006 08:15 PM

sideskirts looks right to me, but yea, you should get a complete sideskirt

IZoomZoomI 06-06-2006 08:25 PM

well it's different, i've seen worse personally. Not really that bad, looks a whole lot better than the other veilside kit though.

Moostafa29 06-06-2006 08:26 PM

Maybe rims would make it look a little better.

3MTA3 06-06-2006 08:31 PM

Thanks for all your opinions...LOL!

Personally, I do not like the side skirts, I found one from MintBlue that I like a lot better. Rims and tires will be next year, c'mon, I aint' made of monsy, this was a big enough investment. :)

Does anyone else think the front was installed wrong? The reason I ask is because it looks like it is pulling away from the body of the car.

BRGREEN8 06-06-2006 08:34 PM

not really digging the front or the side. i actually wanted to get that rear for my car, but ive read a post about that rear melts when the exhaust gets hot......

Raptor2k 06-06-2006 08:40 PM

I like the stock look of the VR...the Veilside and Mazdaspeed bodykits really take away from the car, especially when it's VR, imo. I'd rather go with the concept Mazdaspeed kit (if ever available) or Autobahn...

i love that rear bumper but alot of people had issues with it any aftermarket exhaust buring it up

BlueRenesis82 06-06-2006 08:58 PM

veilside=teh crap

I think we are going to have the same problem...

supergoat 06-06-2006 09:18 PM

I like it!

Bindon 06-06-2006 09:23 PM

I think it looks good!

REMillers 06-06-2006 09:27 PM

Love it, different side skirts will help a ton. Right now it flows from the front and just stops in the middle with those side skirts. Nice to see something other than the MS kits.

Mugatu 06-06-2006 09:30 PM

the only thing I like is the spoiler. other than that, your car looked better in the 'before' shot.

zaglo6204 06-06-2006 09:39 PM

sexiest lookin' snowplow i ever did saw...

Brettus 06-06-2006 09:42 PM

I think it would look a lot better without the front side skirt . That skirt seems to spoil the flow .

BlueEyes 06-06-2006 09:48 PM

Kinda offtopic, but, I heard a story about the guy who started Vielside a long time ago. It went something like this....

He was big into motorsports and designed and manufactured various parts for motorsports applications, eventually fielding a race car and team of his own. A freind of his was driving this car, and had a fatal crash after one of the parts he designed failed. After that he decided to get out of motorsports and started designing parts which couldn't cause accidents and wouldn't effect performance, i.e bodykits.

Can anyone confirm this, or is it just some stupid story? Sounds like a stupid story but who knows.
