Hey Guys, i am new to this site and recently became an RX8 owner myself, this car is a great car. Here are a couple of pictures to share with you. My wife edited out the license plate number.

Thank you, i actually just painted the calibers red and i am going to get a spoiler and black out the back lights and tint the windows. I also am thinking about getting a small Bose sub just for the extra kick of bass. The system itself is Bose and is amazing already. I want to put a Greddy turbo in here, but the wife says no as she thinks i will kill myself. :( I am definitely getting tints, and spoiler and Black rims, not sure which ones will look good, i would like to keep the stock rims for winter time.

Get some Forgestar F14 gloss black wheels :) sexy freaking rims.
http://www.pyspeed.com/v/vspfiles/photos/FRS-8003-4.jpg Also there wont be any type of engine mangement for the 2009+ rx8 so its just best to do intake, exhaust, rims and work straight on suspension setup. Then enjoy the car for what it is. Maybe a year from now there will be some sort of tuning available but currently there is nothing. welcome to the club and have fun! |
+1 /\ them rims are hott!
|
Those are nice rims, thanks for letting me know, i havent done research on the 2010 model. So no turbo for the 2010 yet, man that stinks. I will def do the intake and exhaust then. I just googled them, they are about 1300.00 bucks, not bad of a price.
|
get the intake and exhaust from the vendors here. Everything you need to know about this car is here on the forums.
Just search around and you will be set. There are a few 09+ or S2(series 2) rx8s that are turboed but since there is not an actual aftermarket engine management or tuning software it makes it extremely hard to tune the car. Most of the S2 turboed are from race teams. |
Thanks adamwzl, that is good to know. I have been checking out this site and it is very useful. thanks again.

the ones i picked because i checked about the mazda rx8 tires and i got a little confused but then i checked it out on the site i got 19x8.5 offsets from +26 to +48, let me know if that is good?
let me rephrase because i re-read that and i sounded like an idiot, i meant i was searching because i was confused about the size of the tires and then i searched this site and found some good info on them, then i did a search in google and bam, they told me to get the ones stated above. Is that correct size? |
hmm 19x8.5 is good. I would probably go 19x9 for a more aggressive look with about a +38mm offset. But i think 19x9 with a +35 or +38mm offset will look mean on your car.
|
but since you just got your car, your tires are still good. Do you know the stock specs of your wheel size? I am not too sure on the s2

yeah first I would just put the order on hold. So they dont send it out before you change your mind. I will take a look when I get a chance. I am pretty curious of the new specs myself, I doubt its much of a difference.
