I also haven't taken the time to post edit yet either., Expect better touch ups of these photos tomorrow. |
Nice pics. Looks like it's time for a fresh coat of paint.
|

|
it's stock but I'll get you a pic if you still want, it's not all fancy and artistically exposed and such

wow!! |

Cool, but really needs new paint and some ding removal.

Nice Turbo 2! I have an '88 turbo 2 (tenth anniversary edition) and I love it. I hope to get some good pics of mine posted up here as well when I get done with it.
I did notice one thing though, I'm pretty sure that the rims are mounted incorrectly. The turbo rims had the spoke pattern which required the rims to stay on a certain side of the car. I had problems with this whenever I would get new tires where they would rotate the tires front to back and side to side. It clearly says on the rim which side of the car that they go on but they never seemed to notice. You said that the engine was stock, but have you done anything to the exhaust? I have a full racing beat exhaust on mine which had an unbelievable effect on its overall performance. Plus it sounds sweet! I also have an HKS intake system which helps out as well. Nothing too spectacular, I just wanted to free up its ability to breathe. Again, nice car! |
pics are nice

wow, really nice! Great job at maintaining the car! Looks really really nice :)
|
Looking good. This stirs up memories of my '89. I had the same color complete with the plastic front clip faded a little different than the metal body. I miss it.
Like Shinka/10AE said looks like the wheels need to swap sides but is probably not a big deal as long as the tread pattern is correct. How does the interior look? I think these FC's have some of the best interior layouts. It fit me like a glove with everything within perfect reach. |
Interior is mint, probably the cleanest part of the car. Here are some pics.

Wow that is mint for an '87. Might didn't look half that good in it's final days...
|
Man, I still love the looks of pop-up headlights.

It was one of my favorite features of my Probe GT. |
Thanks for the comments. I know the car could use some things but I am only 17 and strapped for cash. just made due with what I could. The priority now is to get the power windows working, and start saving for a engine, tranny, and differential rebuild. THEN I'll do paint.

Gotta love the rx-7's. Even the older ones still look great. Would love to own one of those as well for some autocrossing or something like that.

WOW, i hope my 8 looks this good after almost two decades ;)

Well my car is 21 years old. built in 04/86 and sold as one of the first 500 87 Turbo models ever made (one of the first 50 turbos in the US). i'm the 2nd owner and the car has 98,000 miles. In other words, the person I bought it from was a VERY wealthy man in the late 80s and was serious about this car. I got it shipped from a California used car dealership but the the guy who sold it was crying according to them. I apparently saw the ad 3 hours afte rit was posted and was the first of 15 offers in 2 days. Luckily my offer reserved me (that dealership's policy) so I am VERY fortunate to have this car. Especially at the age of 17.
