RX-8 Revival..?
What do you think are the chances that we will see a second-generation rx-8?
http://www.goauto.com.au/mellor/mell...2577970012273A It is so hard to read into these articles, as everything seems to indicate that an RX-7 is years away, yet, this "Sky-Rotary" seems to be in development for a second generation RX-8. |
Must we start another thread discussing it?
Can't we use an existing thread that is already discussing it? |

Ha Ha, sorry folks. Didn't realize we were so sensitive. Perhaps a little excited to see our wonderful little engine make some positive future news. And the hint of a re designed RX-8 is pretty cool

Think back to the RX7 days as a comparison. The 1st Gen RX7 was a series 1,2 & 3. The 2nd Gen was series 4 & 5. The 3rd Gen (in N.A.) was a series 6. A new generation RX8 would look different and be mechanically different from the current one. The one thing it would have in common with the current one would be the 2+2 layout. |
Unless it had a entirely different engine which addresses the issues of the current renesis it ain't happening, so it would have to have more power, torque, and especially mpg.
