But some gents here in Dallas are working on a flying car (OK, so maybe it'll never happen) using an RX-8 engine. Caught my eye reading it this weekend, seems like I recall some other flying car using multiple rotaries awhile back...

the propeller is a bad idea. The flying car of the future will not use a propeller, I would bet. This thing they're building, aside from the rotary and the folding wings, is basically what the wright brother's were building, and Jesse James built one on Monster Garage in 7 days.
