New York Times: Involuntary Layoffs, Even for Cars : SEE RX-8
http://www.nytimes.com/2011/11/27/au...cars.html?_r=1
MAZDA RX-8 The sharp-handling RX-8 has been, of late, the only car on the market with a rotary engine. But its high fuel and oil consumption contributed to slow sales. WHAT WE LOSE: A balanced, distinctive sports car that defied labels. |
I like the 'defied labels' bit, how very true, so IMO worthy of this new thread!..
VALE.....RX-8 What a fantastic value for money Sports Car....I really hope Mazda can do it again... But the way the world is going (financially) it is not looking good...for many years. Sadly it could be all too late in another 5 years?? |
Good find!

We can only hope the rx8 gets a successor. Good find Ash.
|
It seems kinda sad because of those issues...oh well.

If there is a bright side to all of this, I do think Mazda knows what they have to do the next time around to make a rotary car a little more relevant. Will it actually happen is another story.
