Interesting comments on this win also in the Toronto Star

Jim Kenzie was the chairman of the committee but not all the car he chose won the best car in its category.

Interesting comments.

I am really glad that Mazda did well.

"Perhaps it's just that Mazda happened to have one sensational new car that qualified for two categories, a second (Mazda6) that lucked in to being eligible this year, and a third (RX-8) that perhaps was an upset.

It isn't unprecedented, but it is very rare for one company to do so well."

Personally, a few years back, I had Mazda down for the count. Old Ford and 90's jap technology, who cares performance, and invisible marketing.

Shows to go, they were (finally) busy back at the lab making up for lost time, in the performance, features, and "Whowie-Zoowie Look-at-that!" departments.

Congrats Mazda!! :D

Shows what one little ragtop can do for a company. :D
