couple of quick ones
 
i was told the other day by a co-worker that she saw these stories in the paper she reads, and she was going to bring them in for me, but i found them online.

Wow, it's rare to see an automotive publication not bitching and whining about the gas mileage, oil usage and lack of torque. I like how they present them just as they are - not that big of a problem. Nice find :D

Lifting the hood to view the engine results in a major disappointment. The entire bay is covered in bolted-down plastic panels, with no part of the engine or any other piece of machinery visible. The subtle hint to home mechanics: "Don't touch."

I thought our redline was 9500. My 8 goes to 9500.

That's not redline, that's fuel cutoff. :eek: Redline is where the solid red stripe on the tachometer starts (hence the name). I don't suggest pushing it above 9000 rpm. If you stomp on the gas of any car without a fuel or electrical cut-off, it'll rev long past redline. Not a good idea though if you plan on driving it for long. ;)
