Another case in point is the RX8, which is the only rotary-powered vehicle on the market (in fact, it may be the only production rotary-powered production vehicle, period).
Maybe I'm just stupid but this quote confuses me. What is the difference between the first statement and the statement in parentheses?

its the only one on the market right now. (and it may be the only production rotory car ever) as in, no other car company is gonna start using rotory engines.
