Automobile Mag 4 Seasons Logbook
 

Just got the May Automobile Magazine. The four seasons logbook (an update section for their long term test cars) said this about the RX-8:

"On a cold morning, the engine died almost immediatly after staring. No matter what we do, the rotary engine refuses to fire. Roadside assistance gets it going. Our local dealer explains that the engine was flooded and that we need to warm it up for fifteen minutes before driving off. Another cold morning, and the RX-8 does it again. After trying every trick he knows to restart the car, the anonymous staffer gives up after two hours. This time the RX-8 is towed away."

And thats all they wrote.

That ain't good.

On a positive note all of the people in the Forum Four Seasons Tests section all had mostly positive things to say. The last guy updated a post complaining about getting stuck in the snow. Somebody from here with snowtires needs to go post a review and tire suggestions over there.

That aint good for anybody....LOL

While I still think it's a rare event, but what do I know I'm from Florida.

whats worse is the info given by the dealer- who the F did they talk to?

Hasn't happened to anyone from Calgary yet that I've heard of <fingers crossed>.
