articles comparing rx-8, 350Z or S2000
 

Has anyone seen any articles in any of the big car magazines putting the Z against the 8 or the S2000 against these or any order of these being compared? I would be curious to see what these editors would say. The only thing I have seen is one where the 8 was tested against the G35 and also a Mustang.

I skimmed through one at the bookstore awhile back, i cant remember what was said or even what magazine....all i do is visit the forums to see how owners like their cars, 1/4 miles, overall car etc...but they are alittle bias. Ill have to look for that article.

Aroound a year ago, a hard-top S2000 was compared against the 350Z in Car and Driver.

This summer, I believe Car and Driver, Road and Track and possibly Automobile magazine compared the 03 S2000 to the 350Z Roadster.

I think either the UK's Car magazine or Top Gear compared the 350Z against the RX8.

Finally, this month's Consumer Reports compared the RX8 with the STI, EVO, 350Z and Chrysler Crossfire.


There are probobly some others, most likely from some Canadian publications.

The article that compares the 350Z and S2K along with others is called The Blow Dryers, and was in the Aug. issue of C&D. It's a rather interesting read and overall a very good issue if you can find an old copy.

Several months ago "Automobile" did an article featuring the RX-8 - and brought along a 350Z and a 330i for a casual comparison. While they were obviously enamored of all 3 cars, I got the impression they liked the RX-8 best. (Or at least as much as the others.)

A 2004 S2000 beat 350Zs and RX-8s in an autocross event at San Diego.

In the April 2003 Automobile Mag, Michael Jordan wrote, "The Z-car is terrific in its own right, a brawney car that you can drive with your biceps, feeling confident that it will never let you down. It's faster than the RX-8, and you can work up a sweat in it." Later, "And yet, who wants to always work up a sweat while driving?" And finally, "Certain kinds of drivers will make their way to this car (RX-8), and they won't be like Porsche, Nissan or BMW drivers. They'll be after something else."
So you have to ask yourself, what are you after??
