Anyone know why Mazda discontinued the zoom zoom clean.
My engine has 114k and compression has dropped to 5. across both rotors. Before dropping the cash for a remanufactured core I'd like to try this,, if I can get a can.

You can use Seafoam to do the decarb process.
RIWWP claims distilled water works just as well.
I'm pretty sure there's a DIY on it.

I found the DIY last week.
Reading up on the subject Sea Foam strips the oil from the rotor walls, where as Mazda's cleaner does not. And in doing do can damage the engine further.
Plus, the car is at the dealer still. they wanted to use something like sea foam because they can't get the Mazda cleaner and they also warned that it could do more harm then good, stating they might not be able to get the car started again after. Not that it matters at this point but not looking to do more harm.

So I'm looking to see if I can come up with some. two purchases on line and so far both have reneged after the fact and said they can't get it. But someone has to have it on a shelf somewhere.
Still haven't found out why Mazda discontinued it.

Maybe I can try having them use distilled water, as a last resort.

The last step of the Mazda procedure, if done properly, is to max out the OMP oil delivery rate, to reoil the housings. The dealer should know this.

And if you're doing it on your own, you can drop a bit of oil into the same ports through which you feed thr cleaner, as well as premix heavily.

I'm pretty sure any cleaner that attacks carbon will also attack the oil film, since oil is just carbon anyway.

I tried looking for it this time last year. Never was able to. I also read the distilled water instructions. In the end I opted for a rebuild.

I went to my dealership today and asked them about the two part numbers. They weren't sure and sent me to Mazda USA.com.
Contacted Mazda USA.com today and asked them my question; here is the chat transcript.

Master tech at the dealer says that the WARR engine cleaner is the replacement for the zoom engine cleaner and that he has a half a can. But by that time I already buckled and bought a can of sea foam. Hey, what have I got to loose.
He also said that the original zoom engine cleaner was highly carcinogenic and that is why they discontinued it.
So I lefty them on decarbonizing.
If I don't get the compression back I'm go with the Mazda reman.

OK so the dealer called and said they preformed the decarbonization using a Mazda product the tech had and not the Sea Foam I gave them. They are refusing to do another compression test stating that the decarbonizing lowers the compression imeadiatly after using it. But they said it should run better if it worked. I told them to go ahead and take it for a test drive but they also refuse to do that. They want me to take the car and drive it for 3 week to see if it worked because it will take that long for the compression to come back.
Mine you, when I brought it in it wouldn't stay running when it was hot.

Does any of this sound right? Because my head is screaming Bull Shite.

after decarb, they supposed to inject oil + turn OMP to max to lube the housings.

u should get urself some premix, inject it direct to lube it up.

I have a retraction to make.
Today I went to pick up my car and while doing so I hijacked the tech who worked on my car. He is the master tech at the dealership and he went over, with me, all the disinformation I got from the dealer service rep yesterday.
1, The tech used the Sea Foam I gave them. He states it is better then the WARR cleaner Mazda has and equivalent to the old Mazda zoom zoom engine clean.
2, He manually oiled the rotors after.
3, He took it for a 5-10 mile test drive and the stalling, when hot, was gone. So the compression didn't go down, it went up.
4, He wants me to put 100 miles on the engine before he checks the compression again, stating that it should improve.
I drove the car home without incident, a short trip that it stalled on several times when I took it in.
It idles low when it warms up but so far hasn't stalled.
A pkwy run will be next. Tomorrow morning on the way to work.

Is there a way I can make sure the OMP is maxed out or is it a flash for the EMS?

they only max it out on Ids for 20 minutes then resets it
