Zaino Dillema

A friend of ours got married a couple months ago, and we ordered him some Zaino for his wedding gift. It got here after he left for his honeymoon in the rain forest. When he got back he went straight to Iowa. So I have his Zaino. When we asked him about it, he said we should send it unless it's too big. I'm not sure if it is. What do you think we should do? He doesn't have RX8, but I do. He has Z car. His wife drives Scion with satellite radio.

ship it, it's only going to cost <$10 for usps. Unless you meant to ask if you should just keep his present... that's an ethics question only you can answer.

But if you have to ask, you already know the answer.

Thanks for the reply. I don't understand though about not asking if I know the answer. I don't know the answer, I promise, that's why I ask. If I return to Sal, can he send it to Iowa?

You could always keep it.
Then send them a gift card (Visa,Mastercard,AmEx).
Then you could enjoy the Zaino.
They would be happy and could get something they really needed.
Or they could go buy some Zaino.

All will be good.

Mail me the Zaino :)

BlueEyes 06-05-2006 08:03 PM

I'd say the only issue in this situation is that you haven't sent your buddy a wedding gift.

We weren't invited to the festivities, and were overlooked for groomsmen, so he can wait. I'm in discussions with Sal on how to approach this.

BlueRenesis82 06-05-2006 10:33 PM

nomination for worst thread of the month

Razz1 06-05-2006 10:55 PM

Second that.

BlueRenesis82 06-06-2006 12:32 AM

and this is RX-8 discussion how? We are debating if you have morals or not?

Redshift 06-06-2006 07:15 AM

I was going to say you should obviously ship it, but then you mentioned his wife's Scion has satellite radio. You shouldn't use Zaino with that... it will make the paint to shiney and the satellite signal will bounce off....

stickman 06-06-2006 03:49 PM

Drink it.

Jedi54 06-06-2006 03:55 PM

send the zaino to him, shouldn't cost more then $10 bucks.

captain mercury 06-06-2006 04:48 PM

keep it for yourself, and buy some more for him. that way you dont have to pay shipping on the same Zaino twice.

noahprtlnd 06-06-2006 06:27 PM

THanks everyone for the replies, and thanks to bluerenesis and redshift for the nomination and second. In the faq you it said anything that doesn't fit in other forums should go here. I didn't mean for it to be a debate on my morals.

I like captain mercurys idea, I shouldn't have to pay shipping twice. Im going to mention that to Sal.

cumpressor4u2nv 06-06-2006 06:29 PM

I nominate it for best thread of the year.

The real question here is 1) why did the friend not come over for the gift before leaving; is he already p***y-whipped? He has a Z, which is questionable, so zaino would do a lot for a return to manhood for him. Marriage can only be combated with the strong shine of zaino. And 2) Does he realize just how great of a friend you are? Zaino as a gift might just be the most touching wedding present ever. You KNOW how happy it will make him, and that she'll have to hear about it forever.

My 2c is that you need to call him, feel him out, and tell him you still have his gift. Then, you'll see how much he wants it.

skullone 06-07-2006 07:04 AM

I third the worst thread ever.

Has no point. Whats zaino got to do with satelite radio and shipping costs? :Eyecrazy:

cumpressor4u2nv 06-07-2006 11:06 AM

what's up with all the newbie hate. What happened to this board?

What to do about zaino is the ultimate question. And hence, I've contacted the ultimate authority: SAL.

Dude, don't be petty. You sound like a chick. If the guys you're freind, you hook him up with well wishes and a wedding gift. If he's not your freind, then this thread is uneccesary.

Or let's debate the merits of Zaino...I for one, think it's overrated. (ducks under the desk to keep from getting shot by half the members on the forum)

Matt RX8 06-07-2006 03:20 PM

If you were not invited to the wedding, then you are not obligated to get him a gift.

Why would you want to be friends with a guy in Iowa anyway. There is nothing there but cornfields.

GoT 1 - 2 06-07-2006 06:04 PM

bump for "best" thread of the year. Keep the Zaino, mail him a card :evil_laug

presequel 06-07-2006 06:54 PM

you got him a wedding present and he didnt even invite you to his wedding? wow.

cumpressor4u2nv 06-08-2006 07:10 AM

Sal Zaino Has Spoken:

I asked Sal Zaino this question, and this is his response:

Mark,

Honestly,. I would wait for him to come back and I would give it to another friend

Looks like you should just wait for this schmuck to come back down to get his gift.

On a similar note, when I was a kid there was always this ice cream truck that would come around during the summer. The driver was an older gentleman with a kind heart and a poor memory. Every year he used to give away free ice cream to us neighborhood kids on our birthdays.

Well, one hungry day I, a couple of months after my birthday, told him it was my birthday once again. He gave me a free cone. From then on, every so often I would tell him it was my birthday and get a free cone.

Needless to say, I am not to proud of my behavior at the time, but as it was so long ago and I'm sure the kindly old gentleman has since passed on, I still have a nagging question eating away at me....

What the hell does this have to do with RX8 discussion?
