yeah! finally got one!

Finally picked up a lightening yellow type S. So far been in lots of traffics jams (this is Tokyo). Was a bit worried about driving a manual in Tokyo but now that I have it, it rocks. Looking forward to the open road this weekend.

Anyone know where I can see the "Owners manual" in English online as I only have a Japanese copy which is hard for me to read. I asked the dealer to get me an English one but he's not sure if he can yet.

Cheers,

Tom.

Congrats on the 8

I lived in Atsugi, Japan during high school. I can't imagine owning a nice car there. The roads are too small !

Good luck with it

Just had a look at US site. Seems I have the 6MT Touring with full aero parts and some other options.

You might not think it, but the car sure is wide over here on these small roads. We have a civic too which is narrower. Was in town yesterday driving to a friends party - I had an inch to spare on my right side on one particular corner. I had to reverse/forward a few times to line her up around the corner. Having only got the car a week it was nervous stuff. Won't be taking that particular street again. Not even sure it was a road - gulp.

I envy you guys with driveways to park in. I park my car at a rented car spot about 150m from my house, pay 300 US a month for the privilage and it takes about 5 mins to park because the spot is hard to get into. I'd love a garage - drool. Still the 8 is worth the bit of pain.

Fantastic! Thanks bowman.

I just came back from my first road trip. Peak of Golden Week holidays here in Japan. The highway was something like this - 14 km traffic jam; 30km jam; 20km jam etc. etc.

I did get to open her up a couple of times though between jams. When we finally got to the mountain roads that was a lot of fun. The car just loves to corner. Saw some wild monkeys on the roadside, fantastic scenery. 2 nights away and then a nightmare of traffic all the way home.

Only bad thing was the navi. We call her Hasegawa-san and she crashed(basically screen frooze) on the way home. Lots of other times too her instructions were pretty bad and seemed outdated. Must have a chat to my dealer abou that. Car is great though. A pleasure to drive even in a traffic jam.
