wow... RX7 with RX8 front conversion
have you guys seen this? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/RX7-RX-7-WITH-...QQcmdZViewItem
can someone host the pics? sorry if this is old news....but that is pretty sweet :O and wtf...my friend keeps on telling me how much better an RSX- type S is... how much faster, etc... oh well... to me...I just absolutely love the looks of the 8... the speed and the handling are just icing on the cake. Can someone tell me if s2000 has significantly better handling than the 8? Thanks -_- and how does that RSX-S handle? :naughty: |
watch this video:

That car has been seen here before. It looks okay...
I personally prefer the look of this photoshop. https://www.rx8club.com/attachment.p...chmentid=37915 The Type-S is slighty slower than the rx8 in the 0-60, and about even in the 1/4 mile. But it's more moddable. As for handling...it's front wheel drive, eww. The s2000's handling is about even with the rx8, maybe slightly better. |
uhh. we've all see that rx7/rx8 thing.
as for the RSX-S, its not faster, but is much more mod friendly. assuming you mean straights: even drivers all stock, the 8 will take. even drivers modded, the rsx-s will probably win. the s2k is handles betters, but i'll let someone who really knows chime in since i've never ridden in one. the rsx-s handles exceptional well for a fwd. still not like the 8 though. |
I have both the s2k and rx8... The s2k is faster... I do personally think the rx8 has a slight edge on handling... there is lil more body lean with the s2k...
|
A slightly modded rsx-s might be faster than the 8..I have seen both cars stock keep up with eachother..i recall a new 6mt 8 loosing to a rsx-s with intake and exhaust.. but an rsx will never handle as well...

[QUOTE=NgoRX8]uhh. we've all see that rx7/rx8 thing.
Thanks NgoRx8 for chiming in on this one ...well, yeah you may have seen this conversion, not sure if you speak for all of us 8 drivers but dude I've only just seen it  .....anyways, it looks nice and a refreshing different idea from someone...I give it a thumbs up....... :smoker: |
we've seen it all... disgusting if you ask me. great way to ruin a FD.

every time i see this car, for some reason it makes me think of fish. as for s2kvs8. i have 02sk and 048, both are pretty close but the 2k handles a tad better. But the 8 to me is alot quiet at higher speeds unlike the 2k seems kinda of loud but bearable. good news though its not as loud like as the 350z.
And as for the rsx-s vs 8, like other said before me. But just tell your friend the 8 is more JDM friendly. If you need more info on that ask xdeed he is JDM gansta for life. If the JDM friendly does not convince your friend. Then just mention the word TWISTIES :wallbash: |
i just test drove the s2000 today... it was an 06... apparently early models of the s2k were a lot more aggressive and better handling.
the s2000 felt a LOT like the '06 Si... although i got in Vtec and was redlining it a lot...i didn't feel the pull as much as my car... maybe a little too smooth shifting? hmm... I love my 8 |
i dont think rsx's run mid 14sec in the 1/4 mile.
|
think again... sort of :)

I like the S2000, but I think a lot of people who own them complain about the noise at high RPMs. Some love it, of course. But, it's not nearly as quiet as the S2000.
As an aside, the sound system in the S2000 is really poor. If you don't like your Bose, you should put up with the system in the Honda. You'd thank your lucky stars for the Bose. |
