Would you trade in your rx-8 for an evo?

I like that everyone has seriously considered this, rather than saying WTF THAT ISN'T AN RX8 ANY CAR OTHER THAN THE 8 IS TOTAL CRAP

I'd do it if I made money on the whole process. Unfortunately I think the Evo looks kinda rediculous.

evo V or evo VI for sure, too bad that will never happen. I hate everything from 7 up.

Nope, maybe on the 10. And by then we might have new info on a new RX.

There are many cars I'd consider (I looked at a LOT of them before buying my 8, and liked several of them), but EVO isn't one of them.

If it was an MR and I didn't lose any money on the car. In fact I could just buy one instead :)

The only other car I would buy besides the 8 is maybe the STi if it looked better instead of a matchbox car....

I would cry if they haven't even released new info about the future of the RX line by the time the Evo X comes out.

i would trade my 8 if toyota releases the new supra, aside from that i would go big 545, M5, RS4, NISSAN Sky line. those are the only cars i would consider.

Not a chance. I would be embarassed just driving one around because it looks so boy-racerish, while the 8 looks classy and sleek. Sure its fast, but it's just a econobox with good power and 4wd. The 8 is truly something special and unique from everything else.

My dad won't let me get one anyways. Bad test crash ratings.

If I could lighten my lead foot then maybe I would consider trading the 8 in for an Evo! I think the Evo is exhilarating to drive (not to say that the RX-8 isn't)! It depends on what you want in the car. If you are looking for mods and can't wait for the 8's market to build then the Evo is a great option! If you want a little more comfort with your performance than the 8 is the better choice!

Short answer - no frickin' way.

Long answer - the 8 just seems to have a bit more mystique about it, and I like driving a rare car. I also don't like the exhaust note on the Evo, or the "ricer" image that comes with it (and the Sti for that matter). The 8 is far more understated, and I like the refinement of the interior. Yes the Evo might be faster but speed is not everything - I can drive the 8 all day long and not get tired. I don't think an Evo would do the same.

+1 on having Both. If not, def 8. Cooler car.
