work of art in 08

well ok, the current body style has been on the rx8 since 04 but still I feel it is a work of art to a degree. Looking at it in my garage with those flaired front quarter panels then sitting inside her just makes me feel it is a very expensive sports car.

I guess if it is redone in 09 with a new rotary engine and body style then maybe, just maybe we will all feel the new model is a 'must have' and that our current ones look old.

Not sure on that last point though since I feel the rx8 has a copy of vet genes in its chemical makeup so far as stance is concerned and I would find it hard to look at a reworked rx8 body style and think they could do better then what they have now...at least if they desired to keep two back seats in it. Still not sure on the rear spoiler...thinking it takes away from the look of the car and the appearance package also. Just something I have to remember not to drive to fast with when going up my drive way.

When is Mazda gonna put three rotors under the hood, And finally get it right??
They leave us hanging each model year with the promise of more power. Can't they just build the ultimate RX model??
Are you reading this Mazda Japan??

I've gotta FD & FE. Mazda needs to build a FS with 3 rotors and boost.
You'd have your hands full just keeping it on the road.

We'll see what they do with a speed version. I waited 2 yrs for them to build a
6s speed, then Mazda puts out a " i block" 4 cyc/w boost. Come on.

Don't think that is a group hug. Seems more like a symbol for what Mazda did to us with the misprint of HP in 03.

Yes, yes we do. Love the rotary and yes I would spend more on a three or four rotary RX8, but adding a turbo or supercharger is fine enough.

I'd like to see a 3-rotor swap program for the 8. Perhaps we could pay 5-8k to get a newly designed 300+hp Renisis with better fuel economy and increased torque..

Seems do-able..

Maybe they've already built the ultimate RX model. It's called the "RX-8", and there's one in my garage.

The latest issue of motorweek says Mazda said the new RX-8 will have features from the Nagare concept (At least I think it's the Nagare. I'll be able to check tonight to verify).
