this really is one of those unspoken threads that i'm sure almost everyone had thought at one time or another.

If not for this forum, i'm sure a number of things would have never happened. For me, they would be:

1) aero kit - woulda bought from mazda dealership and probably had them install it. Yea...woulda lost my @#$ on that one.

2) audiolink - wouldn't have ever even bothered, more than likely because i wouldn't have known that it existed.

3) fog lights mod - i knew it could be done, but without the info passed on from experienced owners, i'd have never guess-and-checked on my car.

4) time - I would still have a life. while this one is probably not entirely the result of rx8club, i still hold it primarily accountable

 

Without this forum:

- I wouldn't have gone to all the fun local meets we have out here in SoCal. There's a lot of cool people and the drives we go on are a BLAST.

Except for me it's the NW Forum. The gang who've been driving together monthly for the last year are great and we have a BLAST too (*knocks on wood* No tickets or accidents).

 

I wouldnt know how to care for my 8 properly.

I wouldn't have been as inspired to be creative and fix those little things that could come stock.

Console cushion to prevent flipping the heated seat switches.

Corner marker into a blinker to make it more functional and help those driving next to me see I want to merge into their lane.


Customized my intake and tapped the RB duct to draw cooler air than what is sitting in the top of the bumper.

Installed a catch can to prevent the crud that can make its way to the intake tube.

Knee cushions to brace better for those wonderful clover leafs off of the highway.

Never would have changed my exhaust out because I hated the sound of a loud exhaust. Now I'm a critic.

I wouldnt know to put a small hammer inside where the dvd rom is to break the back glass incase the car catches fire.

 

Without the 8 club I'd have a new Vette Porche Elise or GT Mustang

 

I'd be using 5W-20 instead of 5W-30 dino.

 

Interesting list... I would get a Lamborghini, Ferrari, McLaren or a Pinto.
