When this site was down I sat in my room alone in the dark listening to the sound of emptiness -- and Carrie Underwood.

 

Without this site, I might own a crossfire!

 

But some site would have. Nature abhors a vacuum.

 

And if day care centers didn't exist, I'd be spending more time with adults.

 

Hmmmm...what would I do without RX-8 Club? For one I might not have gotten wind of the service bulletins that were out there (not saying I absolutely would not have though)! I probably would not have gotten the wiring info to hook my aftermarket amp up to the rear speakers! Other than those things I would still have the car! I would probably just spend more time plotting out my moves in fantasy sports or looking at other Rotary vehicle based sites!

 

i wouldnt know as much about my car and would be scared to work on it myself. all the DIY threads and friendly members in this club really helped me a lot!!! if it wasnt for rx8club, i wouldnt know about racingbeat which is the brand of my current intake and duct which i love!! i also wouldve bought a lot of useless aftermarket parts which would cause the performance of my 8 to decrease. so i have learned a lot on rx8club!!! HOW CAN WE LIVE WITHOUT THIS!?!?!?

 

I think these auto-related Web boards (regardless of the specific auto) are one of the greatest things to come along since the invention of the car magazine. They are massive virtual worldwide auto clubs dedicated to particular cars, and allow us to trade stories, ideas, problems & solutions, vendors, etc., in near-real-time. Gotta love the Internet.

 

I've said it from the day I discovered it... RX8Club.com should be promoted when the keys are handed over to EVERY purchaser of a RX-8. Mazda should adopt it as a supplement to their manual. The knowledgebase of this site is unquestionably the most important thing an owner can have access to.

 

You are correct, but there are unfavorable things said about Mazda on this site. They can't control it. For that reason, they would never endorse it.

Without RX-8 Club, I wouldn't have learned—and been intrigued—by hundreds of little facts and observations about the car—which made me feel like I knew the 8 before I ever sat behind the wheel of one—or finally bought one, two and a half years after discovering this website.

On the other hand, I wouldn't have learned the 8 was being discontinued in 2006. And 2007. And 2008…

 

I would have put an awful lot of hours into more productive purposes.

But I would never have known about or gotten my nifty rotary keychain.

Without the RX8 club I wouldn't have installed my OEM IPOD kit. I would have to rely on the dealer for info about what's normal on the car; mileage, noises, goo on the dipstick. I wouldn't have known about the TSBs. I wouldn't have known about so many suppliers I currently do business with. I would never have met some of my friends. Without this site I'd have nothing to do while I'm watching TV or when I'm bored at work.

Without the RX8 club...I'd be an empty shell of a person. I'd probably have joined some lame *** forum that charges for membership and would not have modded my 8 at all....
