Windscreen washer bottle questions.

So I just started installing my Sohn adapter kit. Just a quick question about the washer bottle.
In the stock bottle there is 3 things....
1) A primary pump for the washer jets.
2) A secondary pump and relay for the headlight washer jets.
3) A unknown thing on the bottom of the reservoir with two wires connected to it (read below).

I already transplanted the primary pump.
Picture of my work so far in the spoiler ->There is a smaller hole for the secondary pump but its a bit too small, I need to enlarge it tomorrow.

But what is this thing at the bottom of the reservoir? It appears to have a float inside it. I assume its a washer fluid level sensor. But I heard the RX8 didn't have one. And right now its unplugged (open circuit) and there is no light on. So i'm uncertain as to what this device does.

If it really is a fluid level sensor I might add it to the bottom of my oil tank assuming it works fine with oil. Not that I plan to ever let it run low anyway.

Thanks.

It is the level sensor, these cars do have one . Can't explain why it's unplugged on yours but using it for oil level would be a great idea.

Thanks for the help.

I'll consider making it a modification in the future. Right now i've heard a few stories about how the plastic tanks crack over time so i'm considering retrofitting an oil catch can for storing the oil in.
Not a huge fan of how the pumps stick out the bottom considering there is ample space below the tank for it too.

Definitely going to keep that nice evil mazda bracket though. It looks awesome, I might paint it though.

...next thing on the list after the sohn install is replacing my battery terminal clamps. Mine are as tight as they go and still don't grip those terminals! Loose = not good.
