You know who I want to hear from and find out his take on all this..... 3Rotor.. the first guy to take delivery in the US.. :)

It's wednesday and I don't have my letter yet. I'm leaving for a week so I hope it comes while i'm gone.

no letter yet

no letter yet either.. I did get a call from my sales person telling me he said he had a meeting with some mazda people and was told I would be getting free service and some money..

very basic statements. I didn't go much into details, but I didn't bother to ask, I said I already new about it, and that was that..

no letter either ... until the I can however deam that mine will offer a fix option when it arrives :o

just a little pet peeve of mine.

like when someone (ie. me) asks if anyone has any gum, or knows what time it is, etc. etc. and everybody says, "I don't."

Mine came in Monday and was sent out Tuesday......keeping it of course.

I received my letter on Tuesday.

Nope nothing yet.

I think to respond no letter is legit. Looks like no one in CA got their letters. I didn't get mine either.

FWIW...the letters were coming from PA...I live in NJ so that might explain why I got mine already...I saw one other received from NH...

Got mine today (Thursday) in Virginia.

No letter yet (CA).... probably will come tomorrow just in time for labor day weekend! ;)

Received mine on Monday 8/25.

Planning on keeping the car , but I'm going to wait until closer to the deadline in case any new info pops up.

Got it the day after I took delivery - no worries though - free stuff is kool - I just love the car no matter what :)

Nothing here in Texas but I called and found out that Mazda had my address from 10 years ago when I owned the RX7. Likely that it was mailed to this long-distant address.

Good advice. With all of the information posted here over the last 30 days regarding issues/concerns, etc. it is sage advice to wait until about September 25th and then <I>bring</I> the letter to the dealer.

Don't get me wrong! I am not implying that there is any reason for concern about the RX8 (the BIGGEST problem I have read about on this forum seemingly solved itself!!), but it is simply prudent to wait and see how well the first TWO months of the introduction go!

Eh, something to do while we all wait for BOOSTD7's report or Oct.1, whichever comes first... hahahahah

I didn't get my letter BUT I called the 1800 # and added myself to the list. I may have to sell the car back only because my company (yet another dot bomb) is giving us our 1 month notice. I wish I knew this way before hand but things are the way they are.

I love the RX8, just wish people woudl stop complaining about those silly, superificial things like empirical #'s and such. I would keep the 8 only because it made me feel good and its fun to drive. Even if the car had 100HP, its still got the "stares" on the road, which to me, counts the most.

bummer alex :( Sorry to hear that.

I'll be keep my letter till late september for that VERY reason, you never know these days, I hear layoffs are coming sept 18th. If i make it i keep the car, otherwise I'm a lucky guy to get this OUT.
