White Mazdaspeed (no pics..yet)

For those of you living in Denver they have a White Mazdaspeed 8 down at Burt Mazda on Arapahoe Rd. It's beautiful but they are asking $43 and change for it. Ouch!
I'll try to remember to bring my camera and swing by to take some picks.

Yeah, fully loaded 6M with MS bodykit and rims. If I'm paying 43k for the 8 it better have over 300 horses plus the body kit thats for damn sure.

Hey 5280RX8. Burt Mazda is where I bought my RX last week. Yeah, they showed me the car last Saturday as I was dropping off my trade-in. 2004 Pontiac Grand AM. I did not know the price was that high. The Salesmanager was trying his sales opinions or was dreaming or smoking something. He said the MS CAT BACK on this white beauty was going picking up 20 HP more with the cat back. I think he was dreaming though.

I can't imagine anyone even considering the car at that price. But I suppose they're out there.

My bad, your right it does have the exhaust on it. I'll take a pic of the sales sticker when I go back.

PS - congrats on your new baby. Was Burt pretty good to deal with?

Yes Burt was good to deal with once they knew I was seeking competition for a car. I worked with a lady named Amy. One of young sales guy there told me the auto was for girls and its a low grade car. I bought an Auto!!!!!!!!!!!! He had no idea the car I was looking at out front was going to be my car. I am not sure about the Mazda service there. I ordered some parts from them and they took 40 mins looking for the parts in the back room. The Mazda service area shares the area with Ford customers. Hope they have Mazda cert mechanics then. Will find out when I get my first oil change.

$40,000 for the car is the sticker prcie. You might get it for $37K. Still that's a lot of Mazda with lots of MS stuff on it. The MS bumper has screens already on it to protect the oil coolers and fog lamps. Looks like a good paint job as well. The white has a sparkle to it. Its a demo I think. The salesmanager is driving it far as I know.

Too much!!! Talk about ripping the customer off!! Some poor bugger will end up financing more than the car is worth!!

$43 sounds like a dealership-renovated new car. First they charge you for the price of the original car, then charge you for parts and labor on every individual Mazdaspeed item. Perhaps the car would cost less if they actually deducted the price of the replaced stock parts from the total package, since they're probably going to resell those anyhow.

I didnt pay 43 dummy, I said they wanted 39 for a car with the MS kit and I never said what I paid! All and all it came to about 34 and half ish. not bad for a car that stickered at almost 35 with out the kit... My dealer is fair.

I would want a professional driver tell me the diffference in power, sound and such for a car that cost that much. That's far from the base sticker price. Good point about the dealer selling the original stuff they took off to put the MS in place. I guess the car is there as a looker and an attraction to lure customers and speed demons. Gives them something to brag about. Lets see what other dealers are doing out there in the US. If you want power go for a GTO!!! Yuk!!! You want to be in on the cutting edge (mostly with your pocketbook) then go for an MS RX-8. What does the MS package do to the car insurance costs? A prudent buyer would want to check what's out there for $40,000.

The MS package is just a body kit, nothing mechanical. Car insurance depend on your driving records and experience, I think?

Also, I didn't really notice it until now, the automatic version has gone up in price. Tayninh, is your car a 5 speed auto or the 4 speed?

This particular $40,000 car has some speed stuff on like a cat back which should not be that much improvement in HP. I don't know what the other high performance stuff it has on it. Someone was going over there to take a pic of the sticker price and post it on here. That should tell us what is in this car to jack it up to a $40K car.
