example: stock rx8 revving = me wondering what the hell that high pitched whiney noise is.
Modded rx8 w/exhaust = me looking around for who the hell sounds like me...

stock rx8 honking at me = he wants to fight (jk) i'm probably in his way
modded rx8 honking = he spotted me - or he wants to fight?? o_0?? lol

i think we should all just save our energy some times when we see other 8's. Our car's overall price tag has fallen and now anybody could pretty much pick up one. I say we keep our 'what's up' limited to those who look like they know 'whats up'

I usually tip my hat or the backward peacesign.
I had a situation happen about 15mins ago, where I was at a red light next to a red vr like mine, there was an older lady in a red vr like mine behind him and a new corvette behind me. *keep in mind that it is winter in Windsor. I was blasting my new K-OS cd, (now that my lights don't dim anymore), I waved and nodded at the guy next to me (he looked like a lawer) and....he shot me the finger!?
I got pissed and blasted outta there leaving the other 8's well behind but not the vette. got to the next red light and the vette pulled next to me, he gave me the "roll the window down for grey poupon" signal. He then exitedly said "Hey your car is spitting out flames!" I said "I know, It's sweet!" He said, "yeah real ******* sweet! I wonder if my car does that! And don't worry about that douche bag that shot you the bird, he's a tool. By the way, cool car!"
Got props from a Vette owner and the bird from an 8 owner.

BTW- I saw 7 rx-8's during my 45min drive today........it was a good feeling.

I don't bother trying or nodding, or even looking. Around here everyone sucks at driving and has an attitude so chances are they'll just flip you off or ride your *** for no reason later on. I do what I do best, pedal to the metal and don't look back or at anyone but where I'm going.

Ugh no joke. I see an 8 at a stop light and which makes me . But then i pull next to them and its . I've seen one "modded" WB at school. Blacked out rims, clear corners, exhaust. But thats it.

I always see stock 8s when I drive the 8, but when I'm in the z or land rover I always see modded 8s and it never makes sense to waive when I drive either of the other cars. I can just imagine someone in a land rover waiving at me with a huge smile, I would be like LOL WUT

Usually just a quick glance. I won't greet them, chances are they don't go on this forum anyways.

Everyone else around here with 8's are old men/women and don't even look twice when I drive by. There's is ONE other person from Boise on here and I still haven't met him.

I get more attention from the MS Protege's than anyone else. Lol. One tried racing me the other day on the freeway.

Fortunately, I don't condone street racing, and with my dead clutch the last thing I wanted to do was drive aggressively. Plus there were cars in front of us. What a idiot.

Just hide somehow, change lanes, or take the exit.

It is embarassing to see another rx8.

There should be quota limits at the dealership, 2 rx8 per 100,000 capita.

Even though I feel like a goof - and my son's made fun of me to boot - I have waved or flashed back when initiated by others....but why??

If they're going the opposite direction as me I usually point at them. If they're going the same direction as me they usually just look at me weird and or don't even acknowledge my existence, so I just keep it moving. Then they try to catch up wondering why my exhaust note is so much louder than theirs.

Every 8 i see around where i live have older people driving them. You know, kinda like the person i bought mine from. Its the whole "mid-life crisis" thing. Most of the younger crowd around here drive Acura TL's. God i hate them. Every time i drive i see at least 5 TL's. Even when i drive to get chinese food around the corner.

Its nice when mommy and daddy buy you everything.

Hell, i even had one kid complain that his 08 335i that his mommy bought him was a piece of crap. Fully loaded with a price tag of 55k. I wanted cut his ***** off. I COUDLNT BELIEVE HE SAID THAT!

Boise is BIG time STI town. Everyone my age (early-mid 20's) who thinks they are a someone has a heavily modded WRX or STI. Everyone else drives a 80's Civic and thinks are the ****. There are a FEW guys with M3's or 335i's.... Very few. My neighbor actually just got a brand new 335i kinda want to talk to him about it... but I don't know him and he looks way older so he would probably just think I was being annoying.
