when you go to the dealership to purchase a rx8 does it come with a...

"how to rotary" booklet-something explaining the mechanics of the rotary and how it should be handled?

little backround about myself-I own a 350z but i drop by this forum because I like the 8 as well.

problems with my 350z(13,000/7mos)
-window streak(minor, doesn't bother me just have to clean it)
-today the turnsignals ticking went silent for 5 hrs then came back alive?(minor)
-very slight wind noise coming from the window over 45 mph(don't want to get that fixed til i'm sure THEY(dealerships) know how to fix it.-according to my350z some of the members tried to get it fixed but they ended up messing other things up lol
-started to hear a slight "clunk" noise only in reverse as I press the brakes and stop.

I go to this forum after i finish reading up on my350z.com

If I were to get a second car it would probably be the 8...just because the g35 similar to the 350.-s2000 (the looks don't compare.)

So when you purchase the car does it come with certain "rotary" directions?

I remember seeing a post earlier how one of your members recieved his car back after 32 days for an engine replacement.

He pointed out the "If moving leave it running for a while." note on the car implying the mechanics don't know this?

I just want to rant because i do like the way this car looks/handles/interior/4 door cameleon/speed-can be easily worked on. It disturbs me to see customers not recieving the proper advice.

I'm glad that there are a lot of rx8 owners whose car's have no problems.

But in the meantime I just want to know the info above because it seems like reading some of the threads that you have to "warm up" do certain procedures?

Do a search on flooding and "cold start" and you will find plenty of good information. If you want to know how rotaries work, go to www.rotaryengineillustrated.com or go to www.howstuffworks.com and search for rotary.

I would wait till the 2005 models come out. Most probs should be fixed.
