what's the value of my 8?

It is 2006 GT and 30k miles on it.
Grand touring trim, 6spd Automatic transmission.

I know you guys all say auto is sh*t, but I loved it.
Since 2006, auto model's hp has increased up to 220hp.
Still lower than manual but much closed to it.

But now, I have to say goodbye to my 8.
I started work since last week and I drive a lot.
I need a car that is reliable and gas saver

Anyway, KBB says its value is about $15330
(based on Private party value - Fair)
Is this a reasonable price?

Have you done anything to it? There are tons of 8s out there at the moment with a lot of expensive aftermarket stuff added on that sell for a lot less unfortunately... for the sellers anyway. You might find that it would be harder to sell your car at the 15,000 dollar range. Take a look right here in the for sale section and you'll see the majority of people have been trying to sell their cars for weeks, if not months and have dropped down the price over that period of time.

It certainly won't hurt to take some nice pics of the car and post a thread in the for sale section of the site, but you've got some competition over there already. Good luck : )

hmm, I knew 8 has a low resale-value, but I didn't expect that low..
It is 100% stock, never moded before.

I searched 8s listed on cars.com, autotrader.com, and craigslist in 100 miles around my location which is Maryland, and I wasn't able to find 2006 GT under $16000, neither manual nor auto. That is why I thought 15000 is a reasonable price.

Actually a 2006 fully loaded ( stock ) manual or auto with less than 40,000 miles, clean title "NO SALVAGE" can run for $12k or even $13k top no more than that anywhere 48 states... at first people start high price $16k, $15k then $14k at the moment of the sale drop to $13k and final offer usually sells quick for no more than $13k....

Good Luck with the sale... I got my 2006 manual low mile 30,000, fully loaded ( stock ) auction for less than $10k cash and that was last year ( clean title ) it was a REPO however ......

If you really want to sell it bite the bullet and go with $13k firm.

If I am you, I would keep it until the sale-value increases like the RX-7 and then put it on the market. It might take few years though... or few few few years lol

edmunds says your right. $15000 would be reasonable but buyers are'nt reasonable in this economy. Everyone wants and expects a steal. Good luck

i hope you are not yunsulja/happy's friend that i told him about.

edmunds claim the pricing is $15,700 for a private party, however this is for a black car

automatic is automatically not wanted in rx8 community, which means -1,000, economy -$1,000

which means a selling price of about $13,700 max. i would start @ 14k and see what you can do. or 13k firm.

The new 6sp auto is popular with the increased Hp. My edmunds pricing was for a red rx8. The best , most valuable not to mention fastest color by far. He should list it at $15.5g and be willing to go $14.5g with negotiation. My 2 cents. Nice babe up there

no way... just get a manual 2006, the chances when your tranny fails or it floods it's best and cheaper if it was manual... plus the maintance is totally a diferent aspect by all means.... like I said before you should be able to get a good low mileage 2006 manual fully loaded stock for $13k.... hell i've seen a few that are too good to be true...

Good Luck....
