welcome babmablocker!
Congrats on the RX-8, it's a great car. Just BE SAFE out there.

I encourage you to familiarize yourself with the search function towards the top right of your screen, there's TONS of great information on this site. Don't worry about mods just yet, drive the car, break it in safely, and THEN decide what you want to change.

if you want to mod the RX8 don't waste your time w/ an intake, the stock air box functions better than the new intake will and won't give you a rough idle. Get an exhaust w/ a midpipe or high flow cat. I have the Exotic Speed Exhaust, and I love it. Other than that, I've heard the Axial Flow Short Shifter is awesome. New tires are a good thing as well. Its going to make it drive a ton better w/ just new tires. Some springs and shocks are also a good idea.

Upgrade you. Take a driving class at a track. At the moment, you can't handle all this car has to give, so why make it give more?

You could start small with just some appearance mods like clear corners, a dark tint, maybe some eyelids. A new set of RB sway bars might be good too for starting out.

Welcome to the club. Short throw shifter and an intake is fine if you want an enhancement in sound but won't add any significant performance gains.

Welcome!

I'm the same age as you are and the rx8 means lots of attention from everyone. So be careful when you drive it. Its easy to go fast in the 8 and not even realize it.

To answer yor question, i would start with clear corners, the move onto an exhaust or intake or the short shifter. But do whatever you want.

Good luck eith the car and have fun!

p.s. what year is your 8? is it new or used?

Tires, they won't give you anymore horsepower. But, they are the only thing that keeps the car glued to the road.

Idemitsu Premix to protect your engine from catastrophic failure. 1 case will last a long time and it's about $50.00.

go a louder more free flowing exhaust. It will add a few ponies and make the car feel alot more angry!
