What midpipe should I get???
hi guys, I currently have the Greddy SP2 catback exhaust.. I am looking to get a midpipe to make the exhaust louder and more throaty.... what mippipe should I get?? I've searched and I still couldn't make up my mind... right now, I am leaning towards more to RP supercat or AP dual resonated midpipe... so, whats the best combo for my SP2. do you guys have any opinion at all of what is better?? I would like my car to sound like the below clip.
Thanks http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wIQevFl-arY |
Of those 2 I liked the sound of the RP Supercat better, sounds great.
|
the rp cat sounds nicer to me.
|
I love RP too! are they always in stock?
|
I have the SP2 also and recently added the Racing Beat Dual Resonated mid-pipe. I am quite happy with that setup.

midpipes are a lot like music, everyone's taste is different. Until you hear a certain set up you'll never really know if you like it. Drive around to as many meets in your area that you can.. otherwise you may end up with something that isnt what you wanted.
I'm not saying anyone recommendation is wrong, it's just a very subjective thing to say "this sounds the best" |
Midpipe most time leads to Rasp... IMHO the sp2 sounds nice as-is
|
None! You will cause air flights to be cancelled in your local area due to air pollution. Just like the icelandic Volcano.
|
the supercat

supercat

Hahahahaha razz I almost choked on my beverage when I read that
|
Hell ill sell you mine for 50 bucks when they total out my car if i can get it off in time
|
I'd go with a D/R mid-pipe.
I love my Mazsport D/R mid w/ Racing Beat cat back. Deep tone , no rasp The racing Beat D/R mid is very comparable to the Mazsport Mid pipe. Worth it IMO |

You are debating between a high flow cat and a midpipe, NOT two midpipes. the RP has a cat, the AP does not. ie; the AP dual resonated cat = extremely against federal emissions laws. Depending on where you live and how tightly they regulate these things, this could be a bad idea. In CA if you do not have a cat your car is impounded immediately. The RP is technically not emissions legal but because it has a cat if a police officer is sitting behind you or next to you, it won't smell like ass (like a midpipe) so it's less likely he'll notice what you've done. choose wisely my young padawan. |
