What the hell is going on

The past 2 days my car has been dying after driving for like 10 minutes. Today was the worst. I was driving home from Best Buy (15 min drive) and the car died 3 times. It has been quite cool for a very long time and the past 2 days has been crazy hot. I know it's heat related.

I put more Coolant in there, so I hope it helps....grrrr tired of this dam '04 RENESIS engine.

Maybe you need to get the msp-16 reflash.

Maybe time for a new engine.

this is the latest, yeah? the one that came out a couple months ago right?

I already got that, and all the other forms of recalls...Ive been saying since day 1 of buying this car that the engine felt off.

But my 2 shitty mazda dealerships never bothered to fully look at my engine.

It's only been in the mid70's to 80's in Middle TN most of this past week and the last couple days, although the weekends have been mild, and I seriously doubt 80degree weather would cause an otherwise functioning engine to just shut off. My 04 renesis engine has had no problems in this "heat" you're talking about. If you "know it's heat related" why even start the thread. :eyetwitch

Read the service bulletin at the link below. If your car is still under warranty, take your car and a copy of the bulletin to your dealer and ask them to do the procedure. If the car is out of warranty, get the "kit" from the parts department and do the procedure detailed in the bulletin yourself. Also, there is a DIY for this procedure in the DIY section of the Tech Section of this forum.

coils? plugs? My car was doing that after driving from lake tahoe to auburn (8000 ft to 1300 ft in 30 minutes) and it only lasted for one night, then it stopped
