what exactly does bumper to bumper cover

i bought 5 years of bumper to bumper warrenty for my 2004 rx8 what does it cover?

If you bought it from a third party vendor, nothing.

Look around the car, glove box and storage compartments, in the owner's manual, maybe in a bag full of service receipts in the trunk. You'll probably find the paperwork that came with the car. One of the items will be the extended warranty paperwork. It will tell you better than we can what is covered.

I do, however, feel confident in saying that a bumper-to-bumper warranty covers defective bumpers.

what do you mean by third party i bought it from a dealer ship not a mazda one and i paid 3000$ for 5 year bumper to bumper...

Sorry if my post sounded negative. From what I've seen on these boards, unless it's a Mazda warranty, good luck trying to get any claim to go through.

Typically aftermarket warranties have a lot of fine print for them to work with. In the end, you'll have to end up reading it if something breaks down and they don't cover it. You can't just sue them because you think you can.

Next time, read a little before you drop 3k on something. You don't really expect us to tell you what your own warranty covers do you?

There's nothing saying that the warranty will screw him over either.....

Ive managed at dealerships for years, there's plenty of aftermarket warranties that will give good coverage; as well as all the ones that will rip you off :lol2:

Call you Finance manager and ask him, or read the fine print, or call the company and ask.....

It means not from Mazda. You own a Mazda, so you and Mazda are the first and second parties. The warranty is from someone else, which makes them the third party.

It covers whatever the contract you got says it does.
