What do RX-8 owners do?

Hey everyone, I guess this is my first post.
I've scanned these forums for a while. Trying to learn what I can over time.
Basicly, the RX-8 has been my dream car for a bit now. But I am just going into Collage. So you know, I have other expenses.

I guess my questions are, how much money do you guys put in to your rx-8 (like, for a nice body kit and what not), and what kind of jobs to you guys have?

Thanks

My bad, I think I posted this in the wrong area
could a mod please move this
sorry again, thanks

Bodykits can range from anywhere from $300 - $3000+ depending on what you want and whether it's authentic/replica. There's also paint and fitament. The age ranges a lot too. I believe there's a 16 year old with an 8. Therefore, jobs will vary a lot too. You'll see students and other occupations. In terms of putting money into your car, it depends on what you want to do. If you want performance (turbo, flywheel, brakes, etc), it will be quite expensive. Then again, modding any car is not cheap.

I run a midget escort service. I only make about 10k a year, but the "perks" of the job make it worthwhile.

my rule of thumb has always been to not spend more than the car costs. so if the car i buy is $30k... then i will try to refrain from spending more than $30k in mods.

But to each his own. You can spend very little and have a VERY nice rx8... and you can also spend more and have a complete peice of crap (search: "tajabaho1" for an example on that).

sorry i should elaborate
10k *quality > quantity*
1. Nice Wheels (Volks, Advans.. etc.) 3000-4000 with good tires
2. Authentic Kit (no replicas) + Good Paint *if not already painted*
3. Drop (coilovers, that's why i am getting rid of my springs)
4. Intake/Exhaust (anything)

Welcome,

Retired Computer Nerd - Current US Army Diver

Turbo + Goodies, Body Kit, Wheels, Tires, Suspension, Tint, Brakes - plus all the details; and I am well over 10K now; plus I spent a few K extra when I bought it since it had the body kit, wheels, tires, etc - already on it.
