What to do with 18" rims?
As freq readers know, I am thinking of exporting a RX8 back to Taiwan. However, 18" might be too much for the road condition there. Is it possible to ask dealer to swap the 18" for 16" and then ask for a discount? They will probably get the $$$ back on the other car.

Not likely - the cars with 18" wheels also have larger brakes, and there is little chance that the 16" wheels can fit over the larger brakes. Some of us have bought 17" wheels to use for winter tires, but you still have to be careful to ensure that your 17" wheel of choice fits - not all do!

Why not the 18 work in Taiwan condition?

why not 18" in taiwan?
The 18" might last 1 year max... the road condition in Taiwan isn't exactly great... It seems like they are always fixing roads here and there. |
