Well, it's been fun folks!

After almost 3 years of daily driving and pushing my 8, it was time to move on as I needed something a bit more practical (Automatic as others cannot drive stick and I drive a lot in traffic when I go out of town for work, FWD, Less fuel consumption, technological advances for just daily eases, more spacious, not as much worry about the engine) with family. My 8 also started having transmission issues as my gears began to grind. The 8 has got to be one of the best vehicles I have ever driven, no other car handles like it and the engine is just so smooth.

As saddened as I am from trading in the 8, I am also extremely happy with my new vehicle! A 2015 Honda Accord Coupe EX-L V6! Yes yes a sedan is more "practical" with 4 doors but this was a non-issue and I absolutely love the look of the 9th generation Accord Coupes. I must admit, the torque I experienced from this after driving the 8 was a decent change :boink:

Here are some pictures! Cheers

Haha I appreciate the thought.

I traded in my 2010 a few years ago and miss it every day. I understand where you're coming from. If I could have afforded to keep it and didn't need to use it as a daily driver, I'd still own it. Looks like you bought an awesome, so good luck!

Reverse midlife crisis? Weird!

I traded my first 8 in for something more practical. Then I kicked myself for two years and bought another one.

Yeah for the price of that Accord you could have a clean low mileage R3 as a daily and a clean Series I to mod the hell out of.

So sorry to hear. My thoughts are with you.

Best of luck on the new Accord!

Yes, watch out for that torque steer, it can sneak up on you.

I had a good 10-year run with my 2004 6-speed RX-8 before trading it in on a BMW M235i. I really liked my 8, but I just love this car:

I have a Honda Accord EX-L as well, mine is a fully loaded I4 with an automatic transmission. It is great on fuel, very comfortable and will probably run for a few hundred thousand miles given the way it is maintained. I purposely chose the I4 because it does not have timing belts. I really hate that crap. My sons Prelude has them and we have to deal with that in about 20k. The Accord Coupe is a nice car, but I would not have given up my 8 for it. Good luck with the new ride though. We all have our reasons. I still regret giving up my MarkVIII. I said I would not make the same mistake with the RX8.
