Weird tire problems

I cam out to my car, and I noticed the rear tires looked weird, but I didn't think much of it. I got in and started it up. I drove about a block and then the TPS sensor thing came on. I stopped at the gas station and checked the PSI in the rear tires. It was down to somewhere in the 20s so I put air in both. I brought it up to 32 psi. I turned the car back on and the light had not gone away. I checked the front tires and they were also low, so I proceeded to bring them up to 32 also. Today I was driving in the rain and the car began to twitch at low speeds. When I got home, I checked the tread wear. My tread is amost gone and these rear tires have yet to even see more than 8K miles. This is my second pair of rear tires. I have never replaced the fronts. The car has a total of 15K miles on it since October. I don't know what is causing the excessive tirewear on the rear. I don't do burnouts or any foolish stuff. This is really troubling. The tires I have on the rear currently are B/F Goodrich KDW 2's. The first set of rears were the OEM Dunlop 8090's. Anyone have any ideas what is going on? Thanks.

did you buy the car new? was it in an accident? sounds like you have alignment issues causing premature tire wear.

Yes it was new, but I was in an accident involving lots of suspension damage, but I assumed that they fixed everything properly. Maybe they didn't. They being the Dealership.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that they did not put your car on a unibody alignment rack. I would hazard to guess that you have more than just simple alignment issues here.

oh man...i remember seeing that picture. yea, you definately need another alignment. make sure you tell the dealership everything that has happened to your car. who knows, maybe something else is still bent???

Do they check alignment when you get an oil change? I remember they had a checklist of things they check. I am not familiar with the alignment process.

Jaisin, just go in and don't worry about whether they check the alignment for a simple oil change or not. Get it extra if you need to. Simply find out what's up with the car--pay up front if you have to, and worry about the rest later. And keep ALL records. It sounds like you've got some real problems with this one--perhaps very fixable, but don't postpone it or wring your hands about it.
