Warning lights, sensors, and spare tires

I've had my 06 RX8 for a little less than one month and I am totally in love with it! I forgot about mustangs and camaros after my first test drive :) I've noticed, however, that after the car has been going for a little bit, my tire sensor light will begin to flash. I constantly check my tires and all seems ok. Also, I noticed when going up or down an incline (bridge, over pass, etc) my check coolant light will come on then once the car is on level ground again, light will go off. Checked coolant level in resevoir and engine temp is fine. Anyone else have similar issues? Know what gives? I'd also like to find a donut spare tire, as I just don't trust fix-a-flat kits. Amy suggestions on where, what type to get? Thanks so much!! I love this club :)

The person who had the 8 before you may have taken the tpms sensors when he sold the car... my aftermarket rims do not have the sensors and the light begins to blink after a litttle bit as well so looks like you have faulty/no sensors. As for the coolant light that is also a common problem, the sensor which is incoorperated into the bottle fails, some people have had luck cleaning it and getting it to work, others just unplug the sensor and check their coolant from time to time.

Like Kaiser bun has said about your tpms, if it's aftermarket rims and the previous owner didn't bother to add the sensor because of money issues, then you will have to find out if it is really not there or if it's installed, then find out if one of the sensors is bad or defective.

GFC, Ive noticed that the TPMS light will flash on my car if I have my GPS unit on. The sensor is behind the dash and the signals from a GPS unit can disrupt communication from the wheel sensors.
