Tpms problem!

Ok, Before the flames get too high, i searched and all i found was how to cover up the Light with a sticker:uhh:

anyways, a couple days ago my TPMS light came on when i started the car and it eventually went away after a 15 min drive....

but a couple days later [today] the light stayed on the whole day, probably 70 miles of driving today, and the light stayed on until i got home.
so what seems to be the problem?:uhh:

Have you checked the tire pressure since that's what the TPMS monitors?

well the two front tires seems less inflated than the rears... anyways how could this happen? i mean if there was a puncture, wouldn't my tire be flat by now? i mean i probably have traveled 350 miles while the light was on these past couple days!

A tire will deflate overtime... doesn't mean its bad or punctured.
This is why you should check them every now and then.
Also, you'll notice the tire pressure decreasing as the weather gets colder.
Then as you drive and the tire warms up, the pressure will rise.

yea i know about that, which is why i was shady about posting this [for fear of flame] but even after a couple hundred miles the light is still on.

add air in the tires.. recommmend manufacture psi and it'll go away.. did you change tires or anything??

change in temp makes the tires drop... just like people every tire is different so more air might leak out from one tire than another.... add some add to man. rec. and your set to go... if it drops more than 5 pounds in a week have it checked out

Just because the light stayed on does not rule out the cold wheather=low pressure theory, in the winter my tpms light comes on sometimes, at times it will go off, at times it will not. Just make sure you check your pressure and if its near the reccommened pressure, you're fine.

I'm having a similar problem but different ;)

I have Volks with no TPMS sensors. The TPMS dash light has always just flashed for the last 5 months but recently, it's become a solid light (no flashing anymore). I'm wondering if everything will be okay when I put my stock winter tires back on.

I actually prefer the solid dash light, less of a flashing distraction but can someone 'second' my story?

Your first reaction wasn't to check the tire pressure...?

:banghead:
